The project aims to improve the Health system in Georgia in a comprehensive way to enhance accessibility, affordability and cost-effectiveness of the healthcare services through effective mechanisms and innovative approaches. Project Scope:

Strengthening the role of national health programs through increasing state, private sectors, population and international organizations’ involvement.
  • Elaboration of methods for containment Universal Health Care State Program and other state health programs.
  • Creation of Diagnosis-related groups (DRG).
Elaboration of strategic health programs according to the International and EU standards.
  • Creation of primary health care system development strategy and Improvement of pharmaceutical field regulation mechanisms.
  • Elaboration of human resource development strategy for the sector.
  • Adaptation of the protocols and guidelines methodology acknowledged by the EU.
Creation of the coordination mechanisms based on the public private partnership (PPP)
  • Strengthening further healthcare system development by full involvement of state, private, non-governmental and international organizations.
Reinforcement of the health information systems (HIS) role and its mechanisms considering timely assessment of the health-related risks.
  • Elaboration of mechanisms for health information system development and quality improvement of database
